Crafts/Projects

I am really getting into crafts lately so here is my showcase of things I have done!

Aaron and Trae's Room

I wanted to keep it gender neutral so I wouldn't have to start over if I had a girl.  I LOVE music and feel in love with this striped/chevron fabric.  And so I used those two things for inspiration for the rest of the room!

The crib bumper I sewed. (Ignore the blue sheet! It goes with and looks better with white!)

Some music blocks I made.

"Rock n Roll" blocks!

A collage of discount/D.I. items.  I am still not completely sure if I even like this... I may be changing it...

Crib skirt finished!

Close up of the black material I used.  I LOVE this!

Diaper cover/holder

Derrick and I cut out these letters in wood and painted them, hoping they could pass off like music notes.

I got these at Zurchers for like $2.  Score!

I had pictures in that blank spot of the boys, but I guess I forgot to ever take a picture!
These pictures were of our previous apartment.  They're room now will look similar and I will replace these photos as soon as their room gets painted and decorated.

Food Storage

Did you know you can wax cheese and it stays good for months at room temperature?!  I hope to do this often now! It's been so nice to just get cheese from my pantry every time we ran out.

We baked bread in empty veggie cans in a big, plastic container overnight.  Talk about cool!

This is a picture of the "oven."

Home Decorations

I painted the ends of the curtain rods and saves $40!

I sewed these curtains!

Here is a close up of the fabric.
These are the lyrics to our love songs (My Guardian Angel & Thank You For Loving Me) on canvas with bubble paint.  They are going with an ensemble in our bedroom.

This lovely piece of furniture was FREE!  I LOVE free!
I couldn't find a key hanger that I liked, so I made one!  A piece of wood, some paint, scrapbook paper, and sharpie colored hooks go a long way!

Random

I am making my own baby food with Trae.  One day I hope to make a ton and freeze it  instead of blending when I need it, but even that is pretty easy.

My sister, mother, and I made this lovely cake for my youngest sister's birthday!
She loved it!
