Oh my goodness how fast a month goes by! I can't believe my baby is already a month old! It's really flown by and has kept me really busy. And finally I think we are in a good routine. The first few weeks were really tough. I wasn't making producing enough milk, so I'd let Trae nurse whenever and however long he wanted to try to get more... and he would nurse on average 3 hours!! Not fun when you do that three times during the night... And then still have to feed a bottle and be up all day with an almost 2 year old. And then a week later I made WAY too much milk! I was waking up and needing to pump between feedings. And then Trae would overeat as he was use to nursing so long, which brought up MAJOR puking ALL OVER. For those who remember Aaron, this was category Aaron puke. Disgusting. So then I was constantly changing clothes, bathing baby and me, doing laundry, and cleaning carpets (on top of the "normal" messes he makes of peeing on everything in diaper changes. Thank goodness for our little carpet cleaner. We have used it A LOT this last month.). So then I limited Trae's nursing to once he'd pop off, he wasn't allowed more for at least an hour. I feel bad if he really didn't get enough, but whenever I felt bad (as he'd cry most of the time) and let him eat more, it all came back out all over. So then Trae was very fussy whenever he was awake as he was use to nursing for hours on end. And ALL of that on top of still needing to keep Aaron fed and entertained (who kinda stopped taking naps, little stinker). Anywho, thank goodness all of that is over. We are at a good balance now of sleeping and eating. Trae even now usually sleeps 5-6 hours a night! It's not every night, but probably 5 days a week so for that I am very grateful. Allows me some energy for Aaron.
Last Saturday, Derrick and I were able to go to the Bountiful temple with my little brother Taylor who received his endowments. Such a GREAT experience! And a nice break from children. It was so fun to see a sibling in the temple... he is the first for me! :) I can't wait to see more there. And I am SO GRATEFUL to my older brother Tyson who baby-sat both of my boys. What a trooper. He'll be a great dad one day for sure. Also was fun to see and hang out with family that I don't see as often as I would like.
So I haven't taken many pictures... I took a bunch the first week (on my previous post), and then all of the above happened. So for a few weeks I felt like I was merely trying to keep my head above water with everything but the last few days have been GREAT (with LOTS of help from my sweet hubby) so here are some of the little adventures we've had! (We haven't really gone anywhere yet as RSV & Whooping Cough are really big this winter... scares me to go anywhere out in public... not to mention it's just hectic getting two kids ready to go anywhere!)

| Aaron was suppose to be in bed... He took everything off of his bed and was laying down on the floor so he could reach his toys. I wish I got a pic of him laying down like I found him! |
| A picture of my two little guys! |
| Aaron chased a ball under the table.. and then got stuck! He just kept calling out "Mommy! Mommy!" |
| A "not-so-good" morning... I was so dead, I gave Aaron cereal for breakfast (I usually make oatmeal or something healthy, but I was tired) and laid on the couch. When I went to check on him, he dumped all of his milk in his tray and was splashing it EVERYWHERE while his bowl and fruit loops were all over the floor. So fun. |
| LOVE this guy :) |
| Aaron was helping Trae out with some tummy time |
| Trae didn't enjoy tummy time surprise surprise.. . Aaron kept trying to make him happy though. |
| Even though Aaron was trying so hard, Trae didn't really appreciate his help |
| One of Trae's pukes... and sadly, most of it got on me and him rather than the couch, but he was seriously a fire hydrant |
| Taking a nap with Daddy. Funny Derrick and I were suppose to be off to a date when I found them like this. Ya, we ended up staying home instead :) |
And here are just some pictures of Trae
| Aaron would ALWAYS pull this move too! It's funny to see Trae doing it as well. Already trying to copy his big brother. |
| Here is Aaron doing his "fire power" |
| The flash scared him lol |
These I took today... Officially one month old! Sadly, I don't have a ton. I take a ton, but the funny thing about Trae is he pretty much is sleeping or crying. There isn't really a happy and awake Trae that exists. He sometimes shows up, but not a whole lot. And even then when he is awake and content, it's because I am bouncing him a very specific way. Hard to get a picture while doing that. But I did get MAJOR smiles from him this morning while he was trying to talk to me :) Made my day.
| First time in the bumbo... He did NOT like it and kept stiffening up trying to get out. These are the only pics of him not crying. |
| So to get a "happy" picture I put him in the swing and shot pictures as the swing came up to me... |
| And it didn't last long lol |
And the next ones are of the boy's room. I finally had some energy to hang up some stuff up! So this is what it looks like so far. I still need to get Aaron a matching bed spread (I've got my eye on one from wal-mart and just waiting to see if it goes on sale) and decide what to put next to their names. I am thinking two frames with pictures of the boys.
| Haven't made curtains yet... my mom borrowed my sewing machine and Derrick doesn't think we'll live here long... so I guess we shall see if I ever make them for this apartment lol |
| This is the blank spot that I need to fill up with something. |
