I am becoming quite outnumbered in this Bunch of Bunns...

It's safe to say I am not really blogging anymore.  Life just got super busy super fast, and together with losing my camera and having it broken for six months (we sold a couch and the person that bought it called me back up to say they found a camera in it!), I wasn't good at picture taking either.  And I hate doing a blog without pictures... it's just boring to read!

So with that, I probably still will be bad at blogging regularly (with three boys three and under and being in a new relief society presidency) but hey, it means I am living life outside cyberspace. :)

So updates:  Umm, I don't even know where to really start as there had been so much.  I guess I will just start with the kiddos.

Aaron is officially potty trained!!  Yeah!!  He hasn't had any accident (minus maybe twice where he couldn't take off his pants in time while already in the bathroom) in over a month.  So yeah for that!  It took long enough!
Aaron ... I don't know what to do with him.  We decided that the pros of being in preschool don't outweigh the pros of staying home, so we will try for preschool next year.  But that doesn't stop me from doing my own little preschool sessions.  I use to stress that I needed structured lessons (the teacher in me) daily or he wouldn't be reaching his potential.  Yeah, I do not have time for that and he will be just fine I have learned.  So I just do stuff when I can.  He knows all of his colors, shapes (including octagon and hexagon), sounds of letters, can count to 20 (usually), multiple songs, can play chop sticks on the piano, and started reading CVC words before his third birthday.  I have made some games for spelling and he is getting better and better at reading.  Blows me away.  He has completely memorized the book "Panda Bear Panda Bear What Do You See" and we don't even own it.  We only check it out from the library from time to time.  Go figure that one out.  He loves playing "patterns" with his legos (another game I made up for helping with math concepts, but he now just plays it by himself) and building planes in such a certain way that if you have the wrong color or placement of piece he FREAKS.  Including if it's Trae building his own plane.  Too funny.  I am sure he will be very particular his whole life... as in he dropped a SINGLE noodle of spaghetti during dinner, and he had to change his clothes right then.  Only to spill a little again and start all over.  Oy.

Now onto Trae... don't know what to do with him for very different reasons.  He is such a busy body and LOVES making messes or destroying things.  Most of our toys are now in storage containers with lids so I can somewhat manage the mess. He can't dump them all out at the same time! (Although he sure tries!  Picks them up and throws them off the couch or table to try to open them.)  He says many words and tries to copy everything.  The other day he dumped his drink on the carpet on purpose (very frustrating) and so I had him clean up his own mess.  I showed him to stomp on the towel to soak up the water.  Well, I think he thought this was fun.  He immediately afterwards went into the kitchen and dumped Aarons drink.  He then walked back to me, pointed to the mess and started stomping his feet.  So I gave him another towel to clean up that mess.
Trae is officially in nursery now and it's WONDERFUL.  Sacrament meeting still has its super fun moments, but at least Trae goes into nursery so happily and easily.  He books it as soon as sacrament meeting is over to where he gets through the crowd faster than we can.  He's playing with toys by the time we get to putting Aaron in nursery.

And now Declan (pronounce Deck-len... didn't realize how rare and unheard of it is)... oh my sweet Declan.  He is my best baby by far.  We are already regularly (if I keep him up before bedtime) only waking up once in the night.  He is just a gem!  He is awake quite a bit during the day, but usually is content laying on the floor, being in his swing, laying on the couch, etc.  He is just a pretty chill baby.  He already doesn't need rocking to go to back to sleep in the night, which makes nighttime feedings go so much faster.  And helps this is the first baby where I have a husband who is home to help.  Declan struggles a little more for the initial falling asleep for the night (sometimes takes a couple of hours), but it's still not too bad.  He's growing fast... 10 pounds already!  And his two older brothers just love him... a little too much.  They give him thrill rides in the swing by pushing me around, share big toys all in his face, throw blocks at him so he can join catch, having "kissing him on the head better than you" competitions (which can get quite rough!), you name it.  Poor little guy.  I try to protect him when I can, but the first day he was home he got knocked in the head with a foam block.  I just more said "Welcome home to the Bunn family."

I guess I haven't shared my birth story.  I'll try to keep it short.  I had an appointment Aug 2 to be induced.  This is the first time I decided beforehand to be induced and I also chose at 39 weeks, but with how things went down I am actually really glad I did.  I was always nervous if I was making a bad or selfish choice, but I probably will do it from now on.

I was (and always have been) strep B pos, so I need antibiotice for 4 hours before I can have the baby.  So we got that started, but didn't start pitocin this time because my doc wanted to really make sure we had the antibiotics first.  So the first two hours in the hospital was easy!  No labor, just chilling and watching a movie with Derrick while I was having the antibiotics.  I was still having my "normal" contractions like I always do and I finally felt validated!  Many were off the chart and actually made Declan's heartbeat drop low.  (The biggest reason I was glad I chose to be induced early... who knows how long my contractions were having an affect on him!)  The nurse was SHOCKED I was only a 2 with having those contractions for so long.

Anywho, they started pitocin at its lowest dose at 12:45, contractions got stronger but I was still ok with the pain so didn't get an epidural yet (HUGE mistake).  Doc came at 1:45, broke my water, I was still a 2.  I then asked for an epidural, but was told by not my nurse I couldn't due to I needed more I.V.  I was in pain pretty quickly after that.  My nurse came a little after 2 and said I could in fact get my epidural, called the anesthesiologist, and turned off the pitocin so I could relax until the epidural.  Yeah right.  I still had contractions and I was then already a 5and just kept going.  I was in A LOT of pain.  Poor Derrick got fingerprint marks on his arm during each contraction, and was shaking it off between them.  I got the epidural, but it didn't take effect.  The nurse called back the anesthesiologist to give me a bigger dose to try to catch up with me.  (She said the reason it wasn't working is because I was going too fast or something.)  He came back and did that, but it wasn't taking effect faster.  I mean my toes got numb and it was SLOWLY making its way up, which was weird because you would think it would start getting numb from where you get the epidural?  Anywho, I started crying due to the pain even though I was trying to be so tough.  I just couldn't do it anymore with how much I hurt.  Nurse checked me again, and I was an 8.  She called my dr to hurry over even though I wasn't even a 10.  Soon I felt the pressure and the nurse told me to not push no matter what.  We needed to wait for the dr.  I think I got mostly numb right before the doc got there, to where I pushed maybe through 3 contractions and Declan was born.  3:27 pm!  (Less than two hours after I was still a 2!)  And then I was SUPER numb forever getting the double dose. Ha ha  When my doc showed up, she was out of breath from rushing and said she kinda cut off a old lady who flipped her off.  Too funny.

Anywho, things went smoother after that.  Declan didn't have a single concern (a first for us) and we actually went home the next day. We have had only a few sleepless nights which is such a blessing with taking care of the older two boys during the day.

I was pretty nervous about having baby #3 as I swear everyone said having the third is the hardest, but I am so grateful this is not the case with me!  I am still super busy and get very little breaks if any, but Aaron alone stills takes the cake of being my hardest phase so hard.  So grateful Heavenly Father sent me that kid first.

Ok thats that I guess.  Derrick is back in school and really enjoying his class so far.  The boys and I are mostly in a routine, so things are pretty good right now.  Still working on updates in the house when we can (have taken a little break with having Declan, although we are loving our new windows downstairs!)

Well, here are the pictures.  Hopefully it wont be so long before I can catch up the blog again! :)

For Easter, Trae could only hold two eggs but thought putting them in the basket was giving them up.  So he refused, forcing him to decide which two eggs to keep in his hands whenever he found another egg.

Aaron's third birthday!  Had an angry birds party!

Both boys got their first buzz before Declan arrived.  Made it super easy and nice for summer.

Visited the Bountiful Temple and walked around

Since it was monday, the gates were locked,  but both boys could fit through the gate.  Trae ran all the way up the hill to the temple.  Aaron soon followed.  Trae did eventually listen to us and come back, although he scooted the whole. way. down. the. hill.  It took forever and left a little line on the grass the whole way down.

Some belly pics (I sewed a new dress to take weekly belly pics in, but that went out the window at 12 weeks when I got busy with a new church calling ha ha)

Declan James Bunn is here!

TOTALLY looks like Trae.  Very little Aaron in him.  But looks like we have another blondie who will have hair that sticks straight up!

They are just SO tiny in that carseat!

Aaron holding Declan for the first time

And some pics I took of him...

And a video of some things my older two boys are doing now.
